Humans of Hope is a 5-part workshop series on how to write poetry that builds belonging and promotes community care.
About Gifted: Black Joy Workshop Series
Gifted is a five-week virtual workshop series aims to challenge anti-Blackness by exploring Blackness specifically through the lens of art and Black joy.

Gifted aims to invite Black youth to recognize their Blackness as something that inherently makes them special, blessed, unique— something that makes them gifted!
​
Participants will learn and work with from Black artists to use different areas of art to express their own personal Black joy. They will have the opportunity present their work at our online showcase, and have their work published in our online gallery.
​
Participants will also receive a $250 honorarium to support their work.

Who can apply?
Black youth ages 14-18 living in the Greater Toronto Area or Hamilton. 12 spots are available.
